Raspberries fall in the middle for pesticide residue testing. Organic is best, but if not it is recommended that they are washed with produce wash before eating.
Nutrition
They are excellent antioxidants due to their high levels of flavonoids. They have manganese, vitamin C, B2, folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid, B6. Raspberries are also a good source of fiber as well as perfect for filling those sweet cravings.
Safety
Raspberries contain small amounts of oxalates which should be monitored by those with a history of calcium oxalate kidney stones.
Cooking Tips
Gently wash and pat dry. Be careful as they are easily mashed.
